As Scribbr's online marketer, you will be responsible for SEO, content marketing, SEA, A/B testing and on-site optimization. Together with the Scribbr team, you will design a strategy for our online presence and lead the execution of that strategy.
The Dutch domain is your playground. Here we have the most visitors and orders, and it is the market we know best. Once something works in this space, you will advise the other country managers on how they can optimize their campaigns and landing pages and link building strategies.
09:00 – Last week, you changed some page titles and headers. Today, you open SERPlab and check whether your changes had any effect. Bam! We are now #2 on the SERP. You begin thinking of a plan for how we can reach that precious #1 spot on Google.
10:00 – You check our AdWords campaigns. Are the ad scores still 10/10? Are we at the position we want to be at? Are we getting enough conversions? You create an AdWords experiment to determine whether the new rich snippets extension is as good as a Google AdWords expert promised you over the phone.
11:15 – You notice that some of our German campaigns are losing money. You discuss this with the German Country Manager and together find a tactic to optimize the campaign.
12:00 – It's time for your daily lunch with friends from other TQ startups.
13:00 – You have a meeting with the growth team. The main focus is to get our landing page and Knowledge Base articles into better positions on Google. You present your plan to get the Dutch landing pages back to the #1 spot. The rest of the meeting focuses on how we can grow in the United States. You did some great keyword research and tell everyone what keywords we should focus on and how to do so.
14:00 – You get an email from a guy who wants to partner with Scribbr. You come up with a plan and receive a high DA/PA backlink in return. Score!
16:30 – You watch the latest Whiteboard Friday for some new SEO inspiration. While watching, you think of some new ideas for how we can improve our site even more.
17:00 – Finally, the content creator emails you a new article for our Knowledge Base. The content is okay, but it's not 10x content yet. You compare the content with our competitors' content, do some research and give the copywriter some tips for how to improve the content. This will be your next killer article :-)
18:00 – Get on your bike and ride home along the canals … or join us for dinner at the office!
