Our proofreading platform relies on the quality of our editors. We recruit, select, train and onboard editors from all over the world to join our platform.
Onboarding is the most important step. Successful onboarding means lower turnover rates and editors who are happier and more successful in their job.
Onboarding means: improving our instruction material - doing phone calls (a lot!) - helping editors with all kind of questions related to setting up their work. You are the go-to person for new editors joining our platform.
09:00 – Stand-up time - we quickly share what our plans are for this week and what we have done last week.
09:20 – You open your inbox and task list and see if any new questions from editors came in last night.
10:00 – After you answered all questions it is time to update your call list and start calling some new editors. Each new editor you want to talk to at least once on the phone to get to know each other and to answer any questions that pop up.
12:00 – It's time for your daily lunch with friends from other TQ startups.
13:00 – This afternoon you make a list of the questions you received the most from editors. You discuss the list with the team and make an action plan how to answer these questions better. Should we perhaps make a new instruction video to make stuff more clear?
16:00 – Catching up on some reading material about how to motivate teams. Can we implement some great ideas for the editor group?
17:00 – Newsletter time. We write a biweekly newsletter for our editor group. You are responsible for this week's newsletter :-).
18:00 – Get on your bike and ride home along the canals … or join us for dinner at the office!
