Fast growing startup. New people each month. A lot of different nationalities and cultures. How many free days do we have? What are OKR's? When did I get my latest performance review? Is the 30% ruling fair? Help! I cannot find any developers.
Sounds familiar? We need you to professionalize our HR processes and make our company culture future proof.
This includes hiring and onboarding new people, improve company HR policies, start up performance review plan (360 degree feedback and implement OKR’s), and improve our hiring process for editors.
09:00 – Today, we have a new team member joining for her first day. You make sure that the entire team is notified and that the onboarding day can start.
10:00 – After welcoming the new team member you make sure our Head Support takes over and introduces the team member to the support job.
10:15 – You work on the hiring plan for the upcoming 6 months. What roles do we need in the second quarter of 2018?
12:00 – After a busy morning, it’s time for your daily healthy lunch with friends from other start-ups at TQ.
13:00 – This afternoon you are gathering some numbers about the retention rate of our freelance editors. We have the feeling that in Germany the retention rate is better than in the Netherlands. Is that true?
14:00 – Based on the numbers you come up with a few conclusions and make them ready to talk over next week during our weekly stand-up.
14:30 – You have planned some phone calls with applicants. From experience, you know that it is better to have the first contact over phone than via email. After the calls you plan meetings with those applicants you feel are up for it.
15:00 – In two months we have two ending contracts. You start on planning performance reviews.
16:00 – OKR's. This topic is hot. But is it also useful for our company? You start investigating and write down your first ideas.
18:00 – Get on your bike and ride home along the canals … or join us for dinner at the office!
We are young, international and enthusiastic. We work together to ensure that students are fully satisfied with our services and that Scribbr keeps growing exponentially.
